Successful tests of the drilling system MDS-2000

Since Mid-November 2009 the drilling system MDS-2000
is being tested successfully under near-service conditions.
These tests are carried out by an HAUSHERR machine of the
company SCHAEFER KALK in the Hahnstätten.

Designed for the use in heavy duty terrain of quarries and
special civil engineering (unclassified roads, slope protection,
surface blasting) the Drilling System MDS-2000 not only
reduces mechanical wear (e.g. drill head) at the
machine, but also allows an efficient resource planning,
the accurate completion and timely accounting of projects.

Laser receiver LS-3000
Freely selectable working point with millimeter precision

The LS-3000 laser receiver is a highly precise sensor for grade measurement.
It works with all common rotary laser transmitters.
Deviations are recorded with millimeter precision in a reception range of 360°.
This allows for linear evaluation over the entire reception range.
The LS-3000 shows its strengths especially in construction of open squares and large surfaces.
Since each reception cell can be valuated individually,
the set point can be freely chosen within the reception range
and shifted at any time.
As an option MOBA also offers the LS-6000 with a reception range of 600mm.
With these two laser receivers a power mast is no longer necessary.

In addition to the rugged components and high performance under adverse conditions, the unique modular concept of MOBA 3D allows the applications such as a GNSS receiver of the next generation for the highest performance in terms of planarity and accuracy.

Besides, the GNSS configuration is compatible with all GPS and GLONASS reference station systems and also ready for the respective systems Galileo and Compass.

Cut and fill values are clearly displayed on the 10.2 inch touch screen of the MOBA 3D panel, the high performance 1.6 GHz machine PC runs with the platform Windows XP.

The design DTM format is autoCAD with the standard data files DXF and DWG, which means there is no need for a conversion modulus.

The new MOBA 3D machine control system derives from a combination of MOBA know-how in machine control systems and the expertise of Carlson in 3D software development.

“With Carlson we have found a very qualified software partner and together we are able to realize MOBA 3D, a 3D machine control system for the next generation,” explains David Shelstad, Vice President Sales and Marketing, MOBA Mobile Automation AG.

MOBA 3D is also compatible with Carlson SurvCE, the first choice data collection software for land development professionals worldwide.

The Company Manutencoop Servizi Ambientali S.p.A. (Environmental Service Joint Stock Company), of the MANUTENCOOP Group, a very important Company in the environmental services, has chosen MOBA as a partner for its new waste collection and management in the territory of Wipptal in Alto Adige/Südtirol.

This co-operation includes the supply of on-board ident and weighing certified systems, software systems for the collection data management and the final transmission to the single Municipality of the Community.

MOBA replaces bar code identification system in Erfurt

In waste disposal matters, the capital of Thuringia, Erfurt, has opted for the future use of MOBA technology and will replace their existing bar code identification system by the reliable MAWIS transponder identification system.

Besides Dresden (since 1994), Speyer (since 1998), Potsdam (since 2004), Leipzig (since 2004) or Wolfsburg (since 2005), this is one more city that relies on the proven system with MOBA technology for fee-relevant identification.

The reliability, quality and easy operation of MAWIS as well as MOBA’s service
convinced the city management of Erfurt. Technical problems with the existing bar code system caused emptying data to be unreliable so that the bar code system could no longer be used as a basis for billing. In addition, it caused high maintenance expenses.

In the future, the new MOBA system will be used in the whole city area of Erfurt for the fee-relevant capture of waste generation. All 27 waste collection vehicles will be equipped with identification technology, and about 72,000 waste containers for the organic, paper and residual waste fractions will be fitted with high-performance HDXBDE transponders by MOBA.

The equipment of all registered waste containers with transponders not only enables the city of Erfurt to levy waste fees reliably, but additionally, MAWIS prevents unregistered containers from being emptied “free of charge”. Since the transponder identification system cannot recognize them, these containers will simply not be emptied. They need to be registered and included in the fee system first. Only this guarantees the fair billing of waste fees per waste producer.

Transponder identical with RI-TRP-R9VS

With the new high-performance transponder, MOBA has developed an alternative to the RI-TRP-R9VS transponder of identical design to identify large metal containers even at a great distance to the antenna (e.g. front loaders).
This new transponder is now available.
